    Custom milling paddy sold to private trader: Collector issues notice to mill owner Manoj Aggarwal

    Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. Manoj Aggarwal, owner of M/s Shankar Rice Products in village Keshala located in Bilha block of the district, has been accused of selling custom milled paddy to a private trader. Revenue department officials investigated the matter and caught the mill owner red handed. Collector Avnish Sharan has issued a notice to the mill owner and sought his reply.

    Let us tell you that if a satisfactory reply is not received within two days, punitive action will be taken against M/s Shankar Rice Products owner Manoj Aggarwal and the registration of the rice mill can also be cancelled. This case is being closely monitored by the Revenue Department, and officials say that this type of illegal activities will not be tolerated.

    94 quintals of illegal paddy seized from Beltara

    In a raid conducted on the instructions of Collector Avnish Sharan, 94 quintals of illegally stored paddy was seized in village Nevasa of Beltara. During the action, 102 katti (about 40 quintals) of paddy was seized from the house of businessman Suraj Sahu and 135 katti (about 54 quintals) of paddy along with its tokens were seized from the house of businessman Hari Suryavanshi. Altogether 237 bags of paddy (about 94 quintals) have been seized.
