    GRAP-4: Delhi’s air quality has once again reached a very serious condition. In view of the increasing poisonous air, GRAP-4 ban has again been imposed in Delhi-NCR. Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 275 on Tuesday. A day later, on Wednesday, Delhi’s average AQI was 386. At the same time, by 5 pm, AQI has crossed 400 in 16 areas, in view of which GRAP-4 (Graded Response Action Plan) restrictions have been re-imposed.

    Visibility reduced due to fog and pollution

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there was calm wind with moderate fog in Safdarjung area at 5.30 am on Wednesday. Whereas in Palam the minimum visibility was 200 meters and in Palam the minimum visibility was 150 meters.

    Under the GRAP-4 restrictions implemented to curb pollution, there will be a ban on public and private construction and demolition activities including highways and flyovers. There will also be a ban on entry of trucks bringing non-essential goods into Delhi.

    Recently, on January 12, Group 3 restrictions were lifted after the AQI improved due to rain in Delhi. There will be a ban on vehicles carrying construction material on unpaved roads. There will be a ban on burning garbage in the open, use of polythene and polluting substances will also be banned.
