A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru experienced an unusual incident when a passenger became locked inside the lavatory mid-flight. Despite attempts by the crew to unlock the door, the passenger remained trapped until the plane landed. The crew passed a handwritten note to the passenger, advising them to remain seated on the toilet seat until arrival in Bengaluru. After landing, ground staff and engineers were able to open the door. The airline has apologized and reportedly offered compensation to the affected passenger. The incident, which occurred on a flight delayed by two hours, quickly gained attention on social media, with many users finding humor in the situation and the crew’s note.
