Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has expressed his support for Sarfaraz Khan’s potential comeback to the national team. Singh was surprised that Khan was not selected for the upcoming series against England, beginning June 20th. Khan, despite being dropped, has maintained excellent form, scoring 92 in a recent practice match against the England Lions. Singh encouraged Khan to emulate Karun Nair, who regained his place in the national team after strong domestic performances. Singh stated, “It’s very unfortunate… I was a bit shocked not seeing his name in the squad. I’m sure he will come back strong. He has got that will to make a comeback. All I can say is, don’t be disheartened, you will get your due, if not today, then tomorrow. Look at Karun Nair. He scored 300 runs against England and then never got too many opportunities. Now he is back in England with the team.”

Comparing Khan and Nair, Khan arguably deserves preference due to his consistent performances. While Nair has a high score of 303, Khan has scored 371 runs with a good strike rate in 11 innings. His adaptability and consistent scoring make him a reliable choice for the middle order.
