An 18-month-old child sustained injuries in a collision involving a bike and an Audi car in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi on Thursday. According to a Delhi Police official, the toddler was injured in the accident. The child has been admitted to the AIIMS trauma center for treatment, and a probe into the matter has been initiated. In a separate legal development, an Extradition court in New Delhi has approved the extradition of a fugitive criminal to the United Kingdom to face trial for sexual assault, rape, and indecent communication. The fugitive, who fled the UK after committing the offences, was arrested in Kochi, brought to Delhi, and was under judicial custody. He has consented to the extradition. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) passed the order for the extradition of Naijil Pau, an Indian who is a British citizen, on June 9. The court has directed that Naijil Paul remain in judicial custody in Tihar Jail until extradition formalities are completed, with instructions for the Jail Superintendent to produce him before the court every seven days via VC.
