RJD leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference. He raised serious questions regarding recent incidents in the state and the Prime Minister’s visit to Bihar. Yadav criticized the government’s response to the suffering of citizens, highlighting the absence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the sites of these incidents. He also questioned the nature of the Prime Minister’s event in Siwan, calling it a political rally rather than a government program.

Furthermore, Yadav accused the Prime Minister’s speeches of being filled with empty promises. He challenged the Prime Minister to account for the government’s contributions to Bihar, including job creation, improvements in education, and healthcare. Yadav asserted that the central government had only made promises to Bihar without fulfilling them. He stated that the public sentiment reflects a growing disillusionment with the BJP’s rhetoric. The press conference signals an aggressive approach by the opposition in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with RJD focusing on issues such as unemployment, inflation, and the deteriorating law and order situation.

Earlier, Yadav had alleged that the Nitish Kumar government was under the control of the RSS and BJP, claiming that appointments in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) were being made from the RSS quota. He further alleged that injustices were being perpetrated against Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and Muslims in the state, including the obstruction of 65% reservations, the denial of rights to reserved categories in jobs, and the sidelining of officials from marginalized communities in administrative positions. He claimed that all of these actions were being done under the direction of the RSS. The Chief Minister has remained silent on these allegations.
