External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has firmly stated that India will not be intimidated by nuclear blackmail and will not grant terrorists impunity. Speaking in an interview, he emphasized India’s resolve to defend its citizens and reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. His comments followed the April 22nd terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which he characterized as an act of warfare aimed at crippling tourism. Jaishankar underscored that India would no longer accept terrorists as proxies and would hold accountable governments supporting them. He highlighted India’s long-standing experience with terrorism, including the Mumbai and Parliament attacks, and advocated for a global stance against any form of support or justification for terrorism. India’s response to the Pahalgam attack included targeted strikes against terror infrastructure, reflecting its determination to combat cross-border terrorism without being deterred by nuclear threats.
