A bomb explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of at least five people, including an assistant commissioner. Eleven others were injured in the incident. This event follows a recent suicide bombing in North Waziristan, where 13 security personnel lost their lives. The Pakistani Army has identified the perpetrators of the North Waziristan attack as Fitna-al-Khawarij. A separate incident saw a suicide bomber targeting a security convoy, causing injuries to over a dozen civilians, including children. Pakistan has accused India of involvement in the Waziristan attack, a claim that India has strongly refuted.
