    Governor Raman Deka conducted a review meeting in Godbahal, Pithora, focusing on the progress of development projects and government schemes. He stressed the importance of accelerating work and ensuring the quality of the initiatives. The Governor reviewed the performance of various departments in sectors like health, education, nutrition, agriculture, skill development, financial inclusion, and infrastructure improvement. He directed all departments to expedite efforts to achieve over 90% of the targets set for the Aspirational Block. He highlighted the need for coordinated efforts across departments to ensure that the benefits of government priorities reach the last person. Governor Deka emphasized water conservation as a top priority, urging for concrete actions for water harvesting in every village. He also instructed for the speedy completion of structures like dabri construction, soak pits, and injection wells to maximize rainwater collection and improve groundwater levels. Recognizing animal husbandry as a strong means of rural livelihood, he directed for its promotion, highlighting its importance for income generation and nutritional security. Discussions also took place on the possibilities of tourism development by protecting and promoting local natural and cultural heritage, leading to new employment opportunities. He also focused on road safety, calling for effective measures to prevent accidents and promote awareness about helmets and traffic rules. The Governor appreciated the work of women’s self-help groups (SHGs) and stressed on expanding their economic activities, while also emphasizing strengthening banking facilities to boost financial inclusion in rural areas. Regarding health and nutrition, he directed for the identification and intensive monitoring of malnourished children, along with monitoring through the Nutrition Tracker. He encouraged data collection through coordination between the Mitanin, Women and Child Development, and Health departments. The Governor also directed for regular training of teachers and subject-specific training at the state and district levels. He directed all departments to work on a strategy of mutual coordination and continuous improvement of indices. The Governor instructed officials to conduct field visits to assess the ground-level implementation of schemes and to gather feedback from beneficiaries. He also called for everyone to plant trees and inspire others as part of the ‘A Tree for Mother’ campaign, and directed for the plantation of saplings in all government offices.
