Bihar has become the first state in the country to formulate a comprehensive health and welfare policy specifically designed for female athletes. The initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Sports, Bihar State Sports Authority, and the government, aims to address the unique physical and psychological needs of women in sports. The draft of the Bihar Women Athlete Health and Welfare Policy-2025 was thoroughly discussed, with participation from various sports experts and women specialists from diverse fields.
