    A devastating road accident in Durg district claimed the lives of a newly married couple. The incident occurred when an unidentified truck struck the couple’s scooter from behind, resulting in their immediate death at the scene. The couple, identified as Shivkumar Kurre and his wife Muskan Kurre, residents of Kohka, Bhilai, were returning from a dinner at a relative’s place when the tragedy unfolded. The accident took place around 11 PM near the Khursipar cross-over bridge. Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene. Police arrived at the location, secured the bodies, and sent them to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. Angered by the incident, the couple’s family members staged a road blockade on the highway, demanding action against the truck driver. Police intervened and pacified the situation.
