A tragic incident unfolded at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, resulting in the deaths of at least six people and injuries to several others. The incident occurred due to a massive crowd surge within the temple premises. Authorities, including the Garhwal Division Commissioner, responded immediately to the scene. Initial reports suggest the stampede was possibly triggered by a rumor of an electric shock on the temple stairs. Injured individuals were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep concern and stated that rescue teams are actively engaged in relief operations.
