Following remarks from Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader and Union Minister Chirag Paswan regarding the state of crime in Bihar, the Janata Dal (United) has responded. JDU MLC Neeraj Kumar stated that a ‘sad person cannot do great work,’ implying that Paswan should address his concerns within the central cabinet rather than through media outlets. RJD MP Manoj Jha criticized Paswan’s stance, suggesting a ‘double speak’ approach and questioning why a fact-finding team isn’t being sent to Bihar, similar to the one going to Bengal. Congress leader Sukhdev Bhagat expressed that Paswan’s realization of the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar is welcomed, while Paswan himself expressed his disappointment in supporting a government where crime is rampant.
