In a bizarre incident in Kanpur, a thief, after robbing two houses, was apprehended after falling asleep in one of the homes. The incident occurred in the Nazirabad police station area near the Marayampur railway line, where the thief first targeted the house of Vinod Kumar, breaking into a cupboard and stealing valuables. He then proceeded to the adjacent house of Anil Kumar, where he repeated the act, taking jewelry and cash. Overcome by his efforts, the thief fell asleep on a bed within Anil Kumar’s home. Early the next morning, Anil Kumar discovered the sleeping intruder and the evidence of the break-ins. Anil raised an alarm, alerting neighbors, who then apprehended the thief and handed him over to the police. The police arrested the individual and a case was registered, leading to his subsequent incarceration.
