Maruti Suzuki is developing its own strong hybrid powertrain for future models, specifically targeting entry and mid-level segment cars. This hybrid technology will differ from Toyota’s series-parallel hybrid system, aiming to be more cost-effective. The Maruti Fronx will be the first car to feature this in-house developed strong hybrid powertrain. While the launch date is yet to be announced, it is expected to hit the market in 2026.
