The NDA has nominated C.P. Radhakrishnan, representing Tamil Nadu, as its candidate for the post of Vice President. This follows the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, leaving the position vacant. While several names were considered, Radhakrishnan’s candidacy was finalized. J.P. Nadda made the official announcement following a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Board. The upcoming election for Vice President is scheduled for September 9th. If C.P. Radhakrishnan wins the election, he will become the third person from Tamil Nadu to hold the office of Vice President, following in the footsteps of two previous individuals from the state.
