The people of Bangladesh will no longer be able to listen to previous statements made by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This decision follows a strong warning issued by Professor Muhammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, to the country’s media organizations. The Yunus government has explicitly stated that any newspaper, TV channel, or online portal publishing or broadcasting statements made by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will face immediate legal action.

A statement released by the government’s press branch said that some media outlets had broadcasted a speech by Sheikh Hasina on Thursday, in defiance of the court and the law. According to the government, the speech included several misleading and inflammatory claims.
