Kyiv Under Attack: Russian Strikes Claim Lives, Zelenskyy Appeals to China for Intervention

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy strongly condemned the latest Russian missile strike on Kyiv, highlighting the tragic loss of life. In a post on X, he described the scene of first responders clearing the debris and the devastating impact on residential areas. Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families affected. He urged the international community to take a firmer stance against Russia, specifically mentioning China and Hungary. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for a reaction from China, given its previous calls for a ceasefire, and from Hungary, expecting a strong response to the loss of children. The strike, which hit a residential building in the Darnytskyi district, caused significant destruction, with people still potentially trapped. Zelenskyy stated that the attacks were a direct response to those advocating for peace and diplomacy, accusing Russia of choosing violence and continued killing. He called for stricter sanctions against Russia, citing the disruption of diplomatic efforts. Furthermore, he demanded accountability for every strike and every day of the war.
