Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced the implementation of the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ in the state. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,100. The scheme is scheduled to be launched on September 25th. This initiative is one of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral promises in Haryana. CM Saini made the announcement after a meeting of the Haryana cabinet. He stated that the cabinet decided to implement the ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana’, which will be launched on September 25th, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Both married and unmarried women are eligible to benefit from this scheme. According to the Chief Minister, all eligible female beneficiaries will receive financial aid of ₹2,100 every month. The scheme will provide assistance to women aged 23 years and above from September 25th. Both married and unmarried women will be eligible to receive benefits from the Lado Yojana. In the first phase of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, the government has decided to include families with an annual income of less than ₹1 lakh. The scheme will be expanded in a phased manner to include those with higher incomes. The scheme does not have any limit on the number of women beneficiaries per family. If there are three eligible women in a family, all three will receive the benefits of the scheme. To avail the benefits of the Lado Yojana, unmarried women, or the husbands of married women, must be residents of Haryana for 15 years. Beneficiaries already receiving higher pension amounts from 9 other government schemes will not be eligible for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. Women patients suffering from Stage 3 and 4 cancer, 54 listed rare diseases, hemophilia, thalassemia, and sickle cell anemia, already receiving pensions, will also get additional benefits from this scheme. Unmarried women who turn 45 will automatically become eligible for the Widow and Destitute Women Financial Assistance Scheme. Upon reaching 60 years of age, beneficiaries will automatically be eligible for the Old Age Samman Bhatta Pension Scheme. It is estimated that approximately 19-20 lakh women will benefit from this scheme in the first phase. The scheme’s gazette notification will be issued within the next 6 or 7 days, and an app will be launched soon. Eligible beneficiaries can apply for the scheme from their homes through the app. All potential beneficiaries will receive an SMS to apply on the app. The lists of all eligible women will be published in all panchayats and wards.
