Political activity in Bihar regarding the assembly elections is ongoing. The opposition is accusing the ruling NDA of ‘vote theft’. The ‘Voter Rights Yatra’, led by Rahul Gandhi, concluded on Monday, but Pappu Yadav was once again prevented from riding on a vehicle. The incident, captured in a viral video, has sparked controversy.

Pappu Yadav, the Lok Sabha MP from Purnia, faced another setback on Monday, the final day of the ‘Voter Rights Yatra’. Yadav, already seated in a vehicle, was asked to disembark. A heated argument ensued between Yadav and a female Congress leader present in the vehicle. The incident took place near JP Golambar in Patna.

It is reported that after Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi departed from the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, independent MP Pappu Yadav was seated in another vehicle in the convoy. A female Congress leader was also present in the same vehicle. Pappu Yadav was already seated when a leader from Rahul Gandhi’s team asked the independent MP to get out of the vehicle.

This led to a heated exchange, with Pappu Yadav becoming visibly upset. A sharp argument erupted between the two. RJD MLA from Maner, Bhai Virendra, was also present. Ultimately, after a heated exchange, Pappu Yadav was asked to leave the vehicle.

This is not the first instance of Pappu Yadav being denied a place on a vehicle. Previously, on July 9th, during a Bihar bandh organized by the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Patna, Pappu Yadav was not allowed to board a vehicle. At that time, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Dipankar Bhattacharya, along with other constituent parties of the Mahagathbandhan, were present. During the demonstration, Pappu Yadav attempted to board a vehicle but was prevented from doing so. Following the controversy, Pappu Yadav had to clarify that he was not even trying to get on the vehicle.

Regarding the incident, MP Pappu Yadav stated that he wasn’t even on the list, so why would he go on stage? He added that he only went to see if his leader, Rahul Gandhi, had boarded the truck safely. He further mentioned that the Bihar bandh was called by the Congress party and that he had made the call on the party leadership’s orders.

Besides Pappu Yadav, the young Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar also attempted to board a vehicle but was not allowed. A video of this incident also went viral. However, during the Voter Rights Yatra, Pappu Yadav did get a chance to ride in a vehicle.
