A woman principal from the Jamjunnawani Primary School, Angnesh Minj, has become a victim of online fraud. She transferred ₹2.65 lakhs to an account within two days after falling prey to the fraudsters. According to reports, the woman principal received a call from an unknown number. The caller inquired if she used PhonePe. After she confirmed, her account balance was asked. The woman stated she had approximately ₹3 lakhs. The fraudster then lured her with the promise of returning ₹3.18 lakhs if she sent ₹3 lakhs. Enticed by the offer, the woman gradually transferred a total of ₹2.65 lakhs from her and her PhonePe numbers to the specified account. When she didn’t receive the promised money, she realized she had been defrauded. The female teacher has filed a complaint at the Pathalgaon police station. The police have initiated an investigation based on the report.
