Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed government ministers to visit flood-affected regions to expedite relief efforts. He emphasized the government’s priority to provide immediate assistance to flood-hit areas. BJP’s National General Secretary Tarun Chugh will coordinate with the ministers to ensure swift implementation of relief and rescue operations. State ministers will camp in the affected areas, and they have been instructed to spend two days in a flood-affected district to assess the relief work. These ministers are mandated to visit four states: Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Jammu-Kashmir, which have recently experienced floods and natural disasters. A relief package of 1200 crore rupees has been announced for Uttarakhand. The Prime Minister also announced financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster and for the injured. The aerial survey of the affected areas was canceled due to bad weather. The Prime Minister acknowledged the severity of the situation and assured that the central government would make all efforts to address it. He emphasized a multi-pronged approach to help the entire region and its people recover, including the reconstruction of houses, repair of national highways, rebuilding of schools, and relief through the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
