Following India’s decisive victory over Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the Asia Cup 2025, a controversial moment sparked outrage. After India successfully chased down 128 runs, securing the win, the Indian team seemingly snubbed their Pakistani counterparts. Instead of offering a customary handshake, Indian batsmen Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube went directly to their changing room, shutting the door behind them. This action left the Pakistan team, including captain Salman Ali Agha, waiting near the Indian area. This incident has drawn strong criticism from former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, who accused India of injecting politics into the sport. He also commended Salman Ali Agha for choosing to skip the post-match presentation.
