Following a recent match, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has voiced strong disapproval over an on-field incident. After the match concluded, members of the Indian team, including Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, immediately departed to the changing room. This occurred while the Pakistani team was still on the field, anticipating a customary handshake. The PCB has expressed its dissatisfaction with this action.

In an official statement, the PCB confirmed that Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha was instructed not to approach Suryakumar Yadav. The PCB views this directive and the subsequent actions as inappropriate. Furthermore, the PCB revealed that match referee Andy Pycroft advised Captain Salman Ali Agha before the match’s commencement not to participate in a handshake with the Indian captain. The Pakistan team management has formally protested the incident, citing it as a violation of sportsmanship principles.

Captain Salman Ali Agha chose to skip the post-match presentation, partly as a protest against the Indian team’s behavior, particularly since the ceremony was hosted by an Indian representative. The Pakistani team’s performance on the field saw them struggle from the start, managing to score only 127 runs. However, it was the lack of a handshake, rather than the defeat itself, that visibly frustrated head coach Mike Hesson and captain Salman Agha.
