Pakistan’s Defense Minister Dismisses Saudi Nuclear Deal Claims

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has refuted speculation surrounding a defense agreement with Saudi Arabia, clarifying that the deal does not include the provision of nuclear weapons to the kingdom. Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Asif stated that the nuclear capabilities are solely for Pakistan’s defense and that the nation would not transfer such technology to any other country. He emphasized that Pakistan’s nuclear program exists to deter potential attacks and safeguard its sovereignty. The recent defense agreement, signed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir during a visit to Riyadh, sparked rumors of Pakistan offering nuclear protection to Saudi Arabia.
