Australia has achieved its highest score in Women’s One Day Internationals (WODI). This accomplishment came during the third and final ODI of a series against the Indian women’s cricket team, played in Delhi. In doing so, the Australian women’s team equaled a record that stood for 28 years. Despite not completing their full 50 overs, the Australian team scored 412 runs before being all out in 47.5 overs, matching their previous best score.

Australia’s previous highest score in a women’s ODI was also 412 runs, which they scored against Denmark in 1997. During that match, Australia scored 412 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 50 overs. Now, against the Indian women’s team, they have equaled that record, which is more than two and a half decades old.

The Australian batters put up a strong performance in Delhi, helping the team reach 412 runs against the Indian women. Beth Mooney played a significant role, not only scoring a century but also achieving her highest score in an ODI career with 138 runs. She scored these runs in 75 balls, hitting 23 fours and 1 six.

Before Beth Mooney, opener Georgia Wareham also played her highest innings in her ODI career. She scored 81 runs in 68 balls, including 14 fours, which was also her first score of fifty-plus. Ellyse Perry also contributed with 68 runs. Australia had century partnerships for the second and third wickets, and an 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket. These three partnerships were crucial in helping the Australian women’s cricket team score 412 runs.

Prior to this, Australia’s highest score against India’s women’s team was 371 runs. However, this time they not only surpassed that but also equaled the record score set in 1997.
