On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, made a significant statement. He suggested that Tejashwi’s actions are based on his own judgment, but he should also consider potential influences, possibly from those he referred to as ‘Jaichands.’ He stressed the importance of distinguishing between the roles of Ram and Lakshman and respecting the elder brother.
This followed a question about Tejashwi’s accusations that Tej Pratap had fielded candidates against the party in the past, particularly during the Lok Sabha elections, favoring those he was close to. Tej Pratap responded to this accusation.
He also criticized the RSS, stating that it had no contribution to India’s independence. He reminded the public of the events involving Mahatma Gandhi, expressing his adherence to Gandhian principles and respect for leaders like Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi. When asked about contesting elections, he mentioned that he would reveal his plans after Dussehra. Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips, Tej Pratap speculated that he might be traveling for his well-being.
Furthermore, Tej Pratap Yadav addressed the ‘I Love Mohammad’ controversy, emphasizing the importance of respecting all religions. He stated that he respects all faiths and possesses a copy of the Quran. He mentioned his belief in Ram and Mohammad, advocating for inclusivity. He expressed his respect for Prophet Muhammad and questioned the current societal direction and governance. He highlighted the arrest of those expressing ‘I Love Mohammad’ and commented on the prevailing mindset. He concluded by saying that he will continue to move forward and connect with the public, regardless of criticism.
