Samsung is preparing to reveal its newest foldable device at an upcoming event scheduled in the next few days. The initial unveiling will be for the Chinese market, with a launch date set for October 11. The company has also released its first teaser image. While specific details about the device are scarce, including the availability of colors such as red or black, which have been common in previous W series models, the teaser hints at a gold-colored frame for the W26. Despite Samsung’s success with foldable phones, it has yet to match the achievements of competitors like Huawei, Vivo, Honor, and Xiaomi. Recent reports from the Korea Times suggest Samsung might introduce its new trifold phone at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The company is reportedly planning to showcase the new model at an art exhibition during the summit, taking place in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 21 to November 1. This trifold phone is expected to be an evolution of the existing Galaxy foldable phones, which currently use a bi-fold design. Samsung’s trifold would be the second phone of its kind, following the Huawei Mate X. While other companies like Tecno have demonstrated trifold devices, they are not available for purchase.
