iQOO, a prominent smartphone brand, is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in India. The company has officially confirmed some key features of the device. Notably, the phone will support wireless charging, a feature absent in the previous generation, the iQOO 13. The new model is expected to boast a larger battery and significant performance upgrades. Furthermore, the iQOO 15 is anticipated to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the world’s fastest processor to date, making it a standout device in the Indian market. This processor has not yet been incorporated in any phone launched in India.

Regarding battery and charging technology, the company announced via a Weibo post that the iQOO 15 will include wireless charging support. It will also integrate a new seven-cell “Blue Ocean” battery design, coupled with Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 technology. This combination is designed to extend the duration of gaming sessions, video playback, and navigation, thereby improving battery life. While the iQOO 13 offered a 6,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging, it lacked wireless charging functionality.

According to leaked reports, the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch Samsung display, with a 2K resolution (3168×1440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. Leaks also suggest that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and iQOO’s Q3 chip, engineered to enhance performance and gaming experiences.

In terms of the camera setup, the iQOO 15 is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, sized at 1/1.5-inch. It may also feature a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. This setup is designed to improve low-light photography and zoom quality.

Based on information from tipster Chaitanya (@ChaitanyaOnTech), the iQOO 15 is estimated to be priced between 60,000 and 65,000 rupees in India. This pricing would be approximately 5,000 rupees higher than the launch price of the iQOO 13 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), which was priced at 54,999 rupees. The iQOO 13 was launched in Legend and Nardo Grey color options, with information about new color variants for the iQOO 15 expected soon.
