In a remarkable feat, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has surpassed the ₹200 crore mark within just four days of its release, leaving many established Bollywood films in its wake. The film, spearheaded by Rishab Shetty, who also wrote and directed it, has garnered significant attention, especially in North India. Initial reports indicate the film’s remarkable performance, with Sunday’s collection reaching ₹61.5 crore, nearly matching its opening day figure of ₹61.85 crore. Despite a dip on the second day with ₹45.4 crore, the film bounced back with ₹55 crore on the third day and further growth on the fourth day, accumulating a total of ₹223.82 crore across India. The film’s success has been so rapid that it has already recovered its ₹125 crore budget within three days of its release, and is on track to surpass ₹250 crore. Additionally, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has made significant strides in the Hindi market, earning ₹23.5 crore on its fourth day, marking its highest single-day collection in that language.
