The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Election Committee is reportedly set to convene on Sunday in New Delhi to make final decisions regarding candidate selections for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. This crucial meeting follows intensive discussions among senior National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders held on Saturday at the residence of BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda.

The Saturday meeting saw participation from key figures including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, HAM(S) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde, Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal, and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. These discussions are a critical part of finalizing the seat-sharing arrangements within the NDA coalition, which comprises the BJP, JDU, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.

Meanwhile, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) also held its central parliamentary board meeting, led by party chief Chirag Paswan, to strategize for the elections. Party MP Shambhavi Chaudhary indicated that Chirag Paswan has been empowered to make the final decisions on seat allocation and candidate selection, stating that “talks are still ongoing” and expressing optimism about the deliberations.

From the Janata Dal (United), working president Sanjay Kumar Jha expressed strong confidence that the NDA, under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, will form the government again following the election results on November 14. The Bihar polls are scheduled for November 6 and November 11, with vote counting on November 14.
