Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Hamas, vowing that the United States would “go in and kill them” if the group persists in attacking civilians. Trump articulated this strong stance in a widely shared post on Truth Social, emphasizing that continued violence against civilians in Gaza would leave America with no alternative. He stated, “If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them.” This declaration follows earlier comments made by Trump in the Oval Office, where he detailed the grim discoveries of bodies during ongoing recovery efforts in Gaza and lamented the slow pace of the peace process. He described the situation as a “gruesome process” involving the excavation and identification of deceased individuals, many of whom were found buried under rubble or deep within underground tunnels. Trump also addressed the critical issue of weapons, asserting that Hamas must adhere to the terms of the US-brokered peace agreement and surrender its arsenal. He insisted, “We want the weapons to be given. They have agreed to do it. Now they have to do it. If they don’t do it, we will do it.” His message was unequivocal: “They are going to disarm, because they said they were going to disarm. And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them.” Trump concluded with a firm declaration, “They know I am not playing games.” These assertive remarks were made during a working lunch with Argentinian President Javier Milei, shortly after the US announced a significant financial aid package for Argentina. Trump’s forceful statement underscores a potential shift in US policy, suggesting that diplomatic solutions may be superseded by military action if Hamas fails to comply with the disarmament terms.
