Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address touched upon the festive spirit of Chhath Puja and the upcoming 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He lauded Chhath Puja as a vibrant celebration showcasing India’s social unity, noting the preparations like ‘thekua’ making and adorned ghats. The Prime Minister highlighted the dedication of women observing the fast, calling it truly inspiring and a testament to deep societal unity.

Focusing on Sardar Patel, Modi emphasized his role as a pivotal leader in modern India, inspired by Gandhiji and instrumental in the freedom movement. He recalled Patel’s significant contributions to movements like Kheda and Borsad Satyagraha, and his historic tenure as Ahmedabad Municipality head, prioritizing cleanliness and good governance. The PM urged citizens to participate enthusiastically in the ‘Run For Unity’ on October 31st, Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary.

Shifting to a unique topic, Modi discussed the growing popularity of Indian coffee, specifically mentioning Koraput coffee from Odisha. He shared how passion-driven cultivation in Koraput is benefiting local communities and how Indian coffee is gaining global recognition. He also reiterated the importance of trees and plants for all living beings, encouraging participation in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Finally, the Prime Minister spoke about ‘Operation Sindoor’, which has brought pride to Indians by eradicating Maoist terror from previously affected areas, restoring hope and security for the residents.
