Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has taken decisive action, terminating the services of two government employees accused of deep ties to terrorism and involvement in anti-national activities. This move, executed under Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution, allows for the dismissal of individuals posing a threat to state security without a formal inquiry, underscoring the administration’s firm stance against terrorism. The terminated employees are Ghulam Hussain, a teacher from Reasi district, alleged to have operated as an Over Ground Worker for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), facilitating recruitment and financial support for terrorist operations. Also dismissed is Majid Iqbal Dar, a former Lab Assistant and teacher, implicated in narco-terrorism, youth radicalization, and funding terror activities through illicit drug trade. Dar’s alleged involvement extended to Improvised Explosive Device (IED) plots in Rajouri and ongoing subversive actions even while in detention. These dismissals are a critical component of Jammu and Kashmir’s comprehensive strategy to eradicate the terror ecosystem and ensure regional stability.
