The Ghatshila Assembly by-election counting is revealing a significant lead for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). After the 13th round of counting, JMM candidate Somesh Chandra Soren has established a commanding advantage over his BJP opponent, Babulal Soren. Current tallies show Somesh Chandra Soren securing an impressive 71,343 votes. In contrast, Babulal Soren of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has garnered 43,366 votes. This substantial margin places the JMM candidate ahead by a remarkable 27,977 votes. Supporters of the JMM are celebrating this strong performance, while the BJP camp appears disheartened. Other candidates, including Ramdas Marandi of the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) with 9,472 votes, and several independent candidates, are trailing significantly. The None of the Above (NOTA) option has received 1,938 votes. The results emerging from these 13 rounds strongly favor the JMM, fueling excitement and confidence among party cadres regarding an eventual victory.
