An unauthorised family property in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, belonging to the family of Al Falah Group chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, has been ordered for demolition within three days. The Mhow Cantonment Board issued the notice for the residential property, located in Mukeri Mohalla, citing long-standing issues with unauthorised construction. This action comes in the wake of the Red Fort blast investigation, where Al Falah University, also run by the Al Falah Group, has become a focal point. Cantonment Engineer H S Kaloya stated that multiple notices were previously issued regarding these constructions, dating back to 1996 and 1997, under the Cantonments Act, 1924. Despite these directives, the unauthorised structures were not removed, leading to the current ultimatum. If compliance is not met, the cantonment board will proceed with the demolition and recover costs from the property owners. The property in question is house number 1371 on survey number 245/1245. The situation is further complicated by the recent arrest of Hamood Ahmed Siddiqui, Jawad Siddiqui’s brother, in connection with a financial fraud case in Mhow. Notably, the prime accused in the recent Delhi blast, Dr Umar Un Nabi, was a student at Al Falah University, and several other suspects have alleged connections to the institution, intensifying scrutiny on the group’s operations and affiliations.
