Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has voiced deep concern over the declining health of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Expressing sincere prayers for her swift recovery, PM Modi stated that India is prepared to offer “all possible support” to assist Bangladesh during this critical time. The 80-year-old chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is currently hospitalized in Dhaka with a severe chest infection impacting her lungs and heart. BNP leaders have described her condition as ‘extremely critical,’ with reports indicating she is on a ventilator. Local and international medical specialists are reportedly involved in her treatment, as the party urges national prayers for her well-being. Zia, who has a long history in Bangladesh’s public life, has been managing several other health issues, including liver and kidney complications, diabetes, and arthritis. Her supporters are anxiously awaiting updates as the nation rallies with prayers for her recovery.
