India’s 75th Republic Day parade is set to be a dazzling affair, featuring a top European Union executive as chief guest alongside a dynamic ‘Battle Array’ display and an array of swadeshi armaments.

In a diplomatic coup, the EU leader’s invitation reflects New Delhi’s deepening engagement with Europe, particularly in countering challenges from assertive neighbors and fostering economic partnerships.

Breaking from convention, the parade introduces ‘Battle Array,’ a choreographed military maneuver depicting integrated warfare scenarios. Viewers will witness seamless coordination between air, land, and missile forces, showcasing operational synergy.

The indigenous arsenal on parade includes the light combat aircraft LCA Tejas Mk-1A, Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher, and Nag anti-tank guided missile. These systems, developed by DRDO and Indian firms, highlight a shift from import dependency to self-sufficiency.

The grand event at Kartavya Path will see 90-minute proceedings with marching contingents from all three services, paramilitary forces, and NCC. Vibrant state floats narrating development stories will add color, while the national anthem atop India Gate will evoke goosebumps.

This Republic Day arrives amid heightened security concerns, with robust measures ensuring a safe spectacle. The parade not only commemorates the Constitution’s adoption but also reaffirms India’s commitment to innovation and sovereignty in defense matters.
