In a bold move to reclaim narrative in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi descended upon Singur today, inaugurating multiple development works and pledging all-out support for the state’s upliftment.

‘Development is our solemn promise to every Bengali,’ the PM proclaimed to a sea of supporters. This comes against the backdrop of Singur’s chequered history, once a flashpoint in land acquisition rows that derailed industrial dreams.

Key launches included upgraded rural roads linking farms to markets, advanced irrigation systems to combat erratic monsoons, and welfare programs targeting small farmers. Modi emphasized how these initiatives align with the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, injecting fresh capital into Bengal’s agrarian heartland.

He didn’t hold back on critiques, slamming the TMC regime for ‘rampant corruption’ that choked growth. ‘Bengal deserves better – jobs, prosperity, and pride,’ he said, unveiling plans for industrial corridors and MSME hubs.

The atmosphere was electric, with cultural troupes performing amid tight security. BJP workers see this as momentum-builder post recent electoral setbacks, while analysts note its timing perfect for polarizing discourse.

Beyond bricks and mortar, Modi touched on emotional chords – invoking Subhas Chandra Bose and urging youth to embrace self-reliance via schemes like PM-KISAN and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

As projects roll out, Singur transitions from protest site to progress hub. Modi’s message is clear: Delhi’s doors are open, but Bengal must choose development over dynasty.
