In a fiery address from Lucknow on Tuesday, Samajwadi Party parliamentarian Viresh Singh laid bare his party’s roadmap to counter the BJP’s alleged electoral gambits ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh polls. The MP revealed plans for a crucial conclave where strategists will dissect campaign preparations and plot ways to corner the government in the upcoming parliamentary budget discussions.

Detailed discussions on fortifying the SP’s position for 2027 will dominate the agenda, alongside tactics to grill the ruling dispensation during the budget session, Singh told media outlets. “This isn’t just any meeting—it’s make-or-break for our political trajectory,” he asserted, underscoring the involvement of top brass offering critical guidance.

Taking direct aim at the controversial SIR initiative, Singh branded it a recycled Bihar model designed to dupe unsuspecting voters. “They pulled it off there because people weren’t wise to it initially,” he explained. “UP won’t fall for the same trap. We’ll block their every move booth by booth, with activists fully mobilized to protect democratic integrity.”

Singh’s pronouncements highlight the SP’s proactive stance: organization-building, policy critiques, and unyielding vigilance. As tensions simmer in UP’s political landscape, the party positions itself as the bulwark against perceived overreach, promising a fierce contest that could redefine the state’s power dynamics come 2027.
