Vadodara’s BCA Stadium witnessed Delhi Capitals’ resurgence as they outclassed Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets on Tuesday in WPL 2026’s 13th match. This emphatic win is DC’s second this season, propelling them to fourth on the points table, while MI, despite four losses in six games, clings to second place. Their third straight defeat raises questions about their form.

Opting to field, DC restricted MI to 154/5. Nat Sciver-Brunt’s masterful unbeaten 65 (45 balls, 6×4, 2×6) was the highlight, rescuing the innings after early setbacks. She combined with Harmanpreet Kaur for a vital 78-run partnership; Kaur’s aggressive 41 came off 33 balls with 7 fours.

Sajana Sajeevan (9) and Hayley Matthews (12) departed early, leaving MI at 21/2 in 4.1 overs. Nicola Carey’s 12-run cameo followed, but Sciver-Brunt’s composure guided them home. Sri Chanu’s 3/?? spearheaded DC’s attack, with Kapp and Sharma grabbing one each.

In reply, DC’s chase was powered by a blistering opening stand of 63 between Shefali Verma (29 off 24, 6×4) and Lizelle Lee (46 off ??, 7×4, 1×6). Lee’s near-half-century set the tone before Wolvaardt (17 off 19) steadied with Rodrigues.

Captain Jemimah Rodrigues stole the show, crafting an unbeaten 51 (37 balls, 5×4, 1×6) and partnering with Kapp (10*) for 37* off 17 balls to finish the job in 19 overs. MI’s bowlers struggled, with only Amanjot and Vaishnavi claiming wickets.

As RCB secures qualification, DC’s momentum could shake up the playoffs. MI must regroup quickly to defend their strong standing in this fiercely contested league.
