Posting on X Wednesday, Shah recounted his day: meetings with Africa Cricket Association leaders to discuss continent-wide growth strategies, followed by watching thrilling U19 clashes at Cricket Namibia’s state-of-the-art NSG venue. ‘Great to see the future stars of the game in action at the splendid new NSG venue of Cricket Namibia during the Under-19 World Cup match,’ he enthused.
Shah’s agenda since becoming ICC Chairman on December 1, 2024, focuses on propagating cricket in nascent markets. He’s actively creating opportunities in passionate regions, extending support to women’s cricket alongside men’s. This trip aligns perfectly with those goals.
Namibia’s rise in global cricket over the last 10 years has been notable, with steady international performances.
