The demise of a NEET student in Patna has ignited a fierce political battle, pitting RJD’s street protests against BJP’s pointed rebuttals. At the forefront is BJP’s Bihar chief Sanjay Sarawgi, who categorically stated that RJD forfeits any credibility on women’s protection matters.

Drawing from history, Sarawgi pointed to the RJD’s governance period marred by overlooked crimes against women. The present NDA government, however, acted decisively by constituting an SIT monitored by top brass for a thorough investigation.

Adding fuel, Food Minister Dilip Jaiswal mocked RJD’s agitation as a diversionary tactic born of idleness. Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar expressed profound sorrow over the episode, vowing zero tolerance for such offenses and guaranteeing rigorous punishment.

Deepak Prakash, a prominent BJP voice in Rajya Sabha, lambasted RJD’s hypocrisy, recalling the dark days of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s rule when women suffered the most. ‘Their sermons on women ring hollow against Bihar’s collective memory,’ he said.

While partisan exchanges dominate headlines, official assurances of prompt justice underscore the administration’s resolve amid this controversy.
