Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has unveiled ambitious plans to resuscitate every closed sugar mill across the state, weaving an extensive industrial network to retain talent at home. Addressing a gathering in Chhapra, he outlined how the state’s progressive policies are set to end youth migration for employment.
Under the NDA regime, Bihar boasts the nation’s top industrial policy, featuring rock-bottom land costs at one rupee and swift 15-day loan sanctions. This magnet has drawn semiconductor plants and more, positioning Bihar as an emerging industrial powerhouse.
Choudhary lauded CM Nitish Kumar’s grassroots yatras—from justice and progress to prosperity drives—that fostered direct public dialogue. These efforts revolutionized infrastructure: smoother roads, better schools, improved hospitals, and reliable electricity.
Recalling the Samriddhi Yatra in Saran alongside Kumar, he noted the fulfillment of household electrification dreams. From sporadic urban supply to round-the-clock rural power, Bihar has progressed remarkably. Over 1.9 crore families now enjoy free electricity up to 125 units, benefiting 1.7 crore with nil bills.
Future plans include a Chhapra airport to boost regional links, commerce, and tourism. Aiming for one crore jobs in five years, Choudhary assured that the NDA will deliver on all pledges, driving Bihar’s development trajectory skyward.
