    Literary discussions and symposiums will be held for 3 days at Purkhauti Muktangan complex

    Book fair, open talent stage, painting workshop will also be organized

    Raipur, January 22, 2026/The grand inauguration of Raipur Literature Festival will be done by the Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Shri Harivansh on January 23 at Purkhauti Muktangan complex in the capital Raipur. The Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will preside over the program. The inauguration ceremony will be held at Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap from 10:30 AM. The Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh will be the Guest of Honour at the event. Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, along with Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha, Dr. Kumud Sharma, and theatre artist and actor Shri Manoj Joshi will attend as distinguished guests.

    Renowned litterateurs, journalists, and poets from Chhattisgarh and the country will participate in the Raipur Literature Festival. During the Literature Festival, there will be a National Book Fair, Engagement Zone, Open Talent Stage, Painting Workshop, and cultural presentations. A Food Zone has also been set up for the convenience of visitors to the festival. The main pavilion has been prepared in memory of Shri Vinod Kumar Shukla, where important stage programs will be organized. Additionally, Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap, and Aniruddha Neerav Mandap have been prepared for literary discussions and symposiums. Four sessions will be organized daily during the Literature Festival. The first session will be from 12:30 PM, the second session from 2:15 PM, the third session from 3:45 PM, and the fourth session from 5:15 PM to 6:30 PM. Cultural programs will also be organized on January 23 and 24.

    January 23, First Session – Contemporary Women’s Writing in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, Flow of India’s Self-Awakening under the dialogue Vande Mataram in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap, and a discussion on the topic ‘Challenge for Publishers’ as part of a discussion on Digital Literature in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap.

    Second Session – Literature in Oral Tradition in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, discussion on New Trends in Poetry in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap, and a dialogue in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap. Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Shri Harivansh will participate in this program.

    Third Session – Tribal Discourse in Kala Padri in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and a discussion on the topic ‘Contribution of Chhattisgarh to Literature’ in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap. A discussion on ‘Windows of Literature’ of the late Shri Vinod Kumar Shukla will be held in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap.

    Fourth Session – Discussion on Archaeology: Silent Literature in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and a dialogue on the topic ‘Problems of the Time: Secularism’ in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap. A poetry recitation program by Rashtriya Kavi Sangam will be held in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap. As part of the Cultural Evening, Manoj Joshi’s play ‘Chanakya’ will be staged at 7 PM in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap.

    January 24, First Session – A dialogue on ‘Hundred Years of National Service’ in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, and a discussion on Chhattisgarh’s Folk Songs in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap.

    Second Session – A dialogue on the era of religious films and television serials, and a discussion on ‘Ekatma Manavdarshan: The Driver of Social Change’ in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi.

    Third Session – Dialogue on India’s Intellectual Discourse in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, Issues of Debate in National Media in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, The Film World of the New Generation in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap, and a discussion on Literature: From Upanishads to AI in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap.

    Fourth Session – Dialogue on Indian Knowledge Tradition in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, ‘Authors and Readers of the Digital Age’ in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and ‘History through the Lens of Literature’ in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap.

    Fifth Session – ‘Maoist Terrorism and Democracy’ in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, ‘Aura of Dr. Ambedkar – A Treasure Trove of Thoughts’ in Lal Jagdalpur Mandap, Status of Language and Literature in Educational Institutions in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap, and a discussion on ‘Fading Children’s Literature’ in Aniruddha Neerav Mandap. A poetry recitation program in memory of the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji will be held in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap.

    January 25, First Session – Dialogue on Constitution and Indian Values in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, Travel Blogs: Catalysts for Tourism in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and a discussion on India’s Consciousness in the New Era in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap.

    Second Session – Discussion on Journalism and Literature in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and a dialogue on Natyashastra and Art Tradition in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap.

    Third Session – Discussion on Cinema and Society in Vinod Kumar Shukla Mandap, and Governance and Literature in Lal Jagdalpuri Mandap, and a Chhattisgarh poetry recitation will be organized in Shyam Lal Chaturvedi Mandap.
