Prime Minister Narendra Modi dropped a political bombshell on Friday, asserting that Tamil Nadu has aligned with the NDA and is ready to show the door to the DMK government. Posting on X before heading to Maduranthakam for a crucial rally, Modi captured the shifting winds in the state’s politics.

In his post, the Prime Minister stated, ‘Tamil Nadu is with NDA. Joining NDA leaders at today’s Maduranthakam rally. Time for Tamil Nadu to say goodbye to the corrupt DMK regime. People appreciate NDA’s strong governance and dedication to local dreams.’

The rally, organized near the Chennai-Tindivanam highway, is the NDA’s official kickoff for the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. With elections on the horizon, rival parties are ramping up their strategies, and this event underscores NDA’s momentum.

State BJP chief Nainar Nagendran announced that PM Modi would headline the afternoon sabha, marking the beginning of the alliance’s fight to unseat the unpopular DMK. ‘The PM will launch our campaign on January 23 in Maduranthakam to remove this anti-public DMK government,’ Nagendran had declared earlier.

Anticipation is high for this pre-election mega-event, with supporters flocking from every corner of the state. Leaders from AIADMK, BJP, PMK, TMC, and AMMK will unite on stage, presenting a formidable front.

Beyond boosting cadre enthusiasm, the Maduranthakam rally heralds relentless campaign activities statewide. Modi’s message resonates amid growing dissatisfaction with DMK’s tenure, positioning NDA as the viable alternative focused on progress and accountability.
