Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day with a message of inspiration to Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath, celebrating the state’s blend of progress and tradition. ‘UP today exemplifies “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi,”‘ PM Modi stated, a mantra resonating across the nation.

Yogi Adityanath, sharing the message on X, conveyed sincere thanks: ‘Grateful for your heartfelt and motivating wishes on this sacred day, PM Modi ji.’

Detailing his bond as Kashi’s representative, PM Modi extended greetings to all UP residents on January 24. He cherished the love from the state that propelled him to Parliament, crediting UP’s soil for nurturing national development.

The Prime Minister evoked UP’s sacred geography: Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi, Mathura-Vrindavan’s Krishna lore, Sarnath’s Buddhist wisdom, eternal Kashi, and Prayagraj’s sanctity. Icons like Ram Mandir inauguration, Kashi Vishwanath revival, Mahakumbh grandeur, and Magh Mela vibrancy are unlocking tourism treasures.

UP’s revolutionary spirit shone through figures like Rani of Jhansi, Chandrashekhar Azad, and others who fought from Meerut to Kakori. Historical defenders such as Raja Suheldev ended invaders’ reign, while Raja Bijli Pasi’s bravery endures in annals.

Under current governance, UP is charging towards trillion-dollar status. Projects once languishing are now surging ahead, complemented by fresh ventures, thanks to proactive central oversight via Pragati reviews.

Expressways like Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Delhi-Meerut, and upcoming Ganga are turbocharging connectivity. Aviation expansion promises 21 airports, with global gateways in key cities and Jewar poised to soar.

PM Modi commended UP’s contributions to self-reliant India and praised its ironclad law enforcement. As India’s most populous state, UP’s unified push for excellence in every sector—from manufacturing to green energy—will supercharge national growth.

He called for a collective pledge to rank UP first across parameters, ending with: ‘A thriving UP powers a Viksit Bharat.’
