Mumbai’s film scene is buzzing with patriotic fervor as the first song from Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ drops just days before Republic Day. Titled ‘Matribhumi’, this melodic tribute to the motherland has gone viral, resonating deeply with audiences across India.

Vocally led by the dynamic trio of Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Master Sunny Dharmakot, the track’s lyrics by Sameer Anjaan and score by Himesh Reshammiya promise to be an instant classic. Salman Khan, portraying the brave Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, posted the song on Instagram, igniting a wave of excitement among his massive fanbase.

Social media is abuzz with reactions—viewers describe it as emotionally overwhelming, praising its depiction of soldiers’ courage and devotion. The song masterfully weaves themes of national pride and sacrifice, setting the tone for the film’s narrative.

Helmed by director Apurva Lakhia, ‘Battle of Galwan’ dives into the 2020 Galwan Valley skirmish, honoring the Indian Army’s heroic stand against Chinese incursions. Chitrangda Singh joins Salman, with supporting cast Jene Sha, Ankur Bhatia, Abhilaash Chaudhary, Heera Sohal, and Vipin Bhardwaj bringing authenticity to the screen.

Fresh off its teaser launch, the movie is slated for theaters on April 17, 2026. ‘Matribhumi’ not only heightens hype for the release but also reignites conversations about the real-life heroes of Galwan, making it a timely Republic Day gift to the nation.
