On National Voters’ Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an inspiring call to action, framing voting as both a right and a profound civic responsibility. Greeting the nation via social media, he commended the Election Commission for upholding India’s democratic ethos amid its massive scale.

Reflecting on history, Modi recalled the 1952 elections that positioned India as democracy’s cradle, with roots in ancient debates and dialogues. ‘Voters are fate-makers,’ he asserted in his message, pointing to the indelible ink on fingers as a symbol of vibrant participation.

Addressing ‘My Bharat’ volunteers directly in a dedicated letter, PM Modi encouraged communal celebrations for newly registered young voters. ‘Share sweets in your community; make it a joyous milestone,’ he suggested, underscoring how schools and colleges can serve as nurseries for democratic values by hosting recognition events.

He marveled at voters’ dedication across diverse terrains—from deserts to dense forests—ensuring every voice resonates. Praising women’s empowerment in elections, Modi highlighted their strengthening impact. Urging youth engagement via dedicated platforms, he envisioned a united resolve to build an advanced, equitable India through active democratic involvement.

This observance renews commitment to participation, with PM Modi’s vision positioning youth at the forefront of nation-building.
