Raipur buzzed with anticipation as Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai launched the trailer of ‘Godaan,’ India’s pioneering film on cow sanctity, from his residence. The event on Tuesday spotlighted government efforts to honor and safeguard Gau Mata, blending spirituality with modern policy.

‘Our government stands firmly with cow protection,’ declared Sai, underscoring her role beyond faith—in agriculture, science, and economy. Making headlines, he declared the film tax-exempt in Chhattisgarh, a nod to its message on bovine welfare.

Sai highlighted key advancements: fodder grants for gaushalas upped to Rs 35 per cow daily from Rs 20, with capital aid now at Rs 25 lakh per shelter. ‘Gaudhams’ for nomadic cattle are expanding, reflecting proactive care.

Invoking mythology, he reminded the gathering of the cow’s divine abode for 33 crore gods and Panchagavya’s ritual purity. The trailer launch is a milestone, offering viewers insights via this engaging 129-minute production.

Further launches included the poster, poignant track ‘Gau Mata Ke Praanon Ko Bacha Lo Deshvasiyon,’ and Panchagavya packs. Set for February 6 release by Kamadhenu Film Productions, ‘Godaan’ promotes organic manure from cow dung as farming’s future, leveraging film’s influence for mass awareness.

The occasion drew filmmakers Vinod Chaudhary, Ajit Mahapatra, Shantanu Shukla, Dr. IP Singh, Subodh Rathi, and press. It’s a powerful fusion of cinema and conservation, poised to inspire action.
